The Shelby County Election Commission is committed to providing accessible polling places. All polling places in Shelby County have been surveyed and are accessible to those with disabilities. However, we are guests in our polling places, so it is possible that the owners of the facilities have modified their building or changed our access after we surveyed the location. If you have concerns about a polling place, please call our Operations Department at 901-222-6819.
The ballot font size can be increased on every voting machine, and voting machines can even be programmed to read the ballot to the voter.
All polling places have a variety of assistive aids for voters with disabilities. Just ask any poll worker, and they will be happy to help.
